Just another example of what's wrong with our country today, as more names from the performance enhancement test the MLB ran back in 2003, which was suppose to be confidential and destroyed afterwards, were leaked to the press. This time it was Manny (again) and Big Papi David Ortiz. Another black eye for baseball, some say. But for me, it's more of another black eye for America as a whole.
What's happening in baseball seems to be just another symbol of what's wrong with much of America and it's economy. No longer is hard work rewarded, instead we've become a labor force which expects it all in return for just showing up to work each day. These days its who you know, the color of your skin, your gender or your ability to manipulate the system which gets you ahead. So today as we sit and shake our heads over two more fallen "heroes" we should remember that at the same time we are sitting in judgement of ourselves as a society, too.
