Coming this Fall to Fox TV - a new political comedy titled The Grand Old Party! It's a sitcom about a conservative family in the suburbs who spend their days meddling in each other's lives and alienating their neighbors with their high-minded antics.
In the lead role would be Dick, the matriarch of the dsyfunctional family, who sees enemies everywhere and is known to prefer taking his enemies duck hunting over torture.
Mitt, is his well polished son, who is known to say or do anything to get whatever he wants, like complaining about illegal aliens even while he hires them to cut his lawn.
Sarah, Dick's former daughter in-law, who was ousted from the family because she liked expensive clothes and got under Dick's skin with her hillbilly lingo.
Rush, Dick's other son who is like his father but fatter and more obnoxious with a habit of picking on women and popping pills.
Newt, is the neighbor, who spends most of his time agreeing with Dick about everything and known to put people to sleep with his sermonizing.
Mike, is the likeable but eccentric Preacher, who loves the pulpit both in church and in front of a television camera.
