Regardless of whether or not he regains his status as one of the league's most feared hitters, David Ortiz has earned his place among the "Untouchables" in baseball. Big Papi is known not only for his clutch home runs but also for being one of the most straight up guys in baseball today. Good time or bad, No one has nothing but good things to say about the big lug. That's why it made it all that more sweeter that the hero in the end last night was a good guy.
Watching him finally crank out his first home run last night was like watching you're your own family member snap out of some funk. You cheered not just for him, but for yourself, knowing faith, effort and attitude still meant something these days.
